broken soap door on Moffat dishwasher?

The soap door on my dishwasher will not close. I have to add the soap during the cycle. We have taken the front door off and can't see what is broken to fix it. Can anyone help?
Thanks.
p.s. it is a round door with a straight bar on it.

I don't suppose Janice is checking in here anymore... maybe none of the original posters are. However, I would like to thank Joe for his response. It was right on the money; I had the same problem with my Moffat, and it just turned out that, yes, it had been stopped mid-cycle. I just had to turn the dial to the end of the cycle, and the machine reset the dish soap door.

Janice might have had a different problem, but if anyone else googles in here like I did, they might find Joe's response useful. Thanks Joe.

It is interlocked with the rotary switch on the front door. Cycle the rotary switch and notice how the soap door will close.
