The manual says "press fabric conditioner where it says "Press" but I cannot see where it says this. The drawer stops half way out. When I try to press at rear to fabric conditioner compartment on the right side of the tray appears to be blocked on the left side.

There is a small lever at top right rear of drawer that you move to the right to release the drawer which you should then pull out.
