How can I fix my Sony KV32S45?

My Sony Triniton KV32s45 still powers on, but will not show a picture on any channel. I have tried reprogramming the channels to no avail; but when I insert a DVD into the player, which is connected to the television, I am able to view a movie with sound and all? Please help!!

Yes, I had the same probelm with mine too. However, at the time it was under warranty, so the repair person came out and installed a new tuner. After that, the tv worked fine again for 4 more years till last week. We had a big electrical storm, and I believe that the tuner blew out again during the storm. All it takes on these tv's is a little more juice in the line, and I believe that the tuner picks up the surge. It makes sense because the first time it happened, it was after a large storm as well. Point made: if you know that bad weather is headed your way, unplug your sony so you wont have to repair it.

Your tuner is at fault, I suspect that the DVD player is connected via a SCART connection. Sorry, it's a trip to the service center on this one.
