Is my Potterton Mini Minder Control faulty??

I have a Myson Apollo boiler and a Potterton Mini Minder E control panel. The pilot light seems to be lit in the boiler but when the heating and hotwater are suppose to come on automatically nothing happens, is this a faulty control unit? It's as if there is no spark to ignite and make the boiler fire up!!

I have no idea about boilers etc, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Emma

the pilot light is whats there to light the boiler up.
the problem is the gas valve is not opening up for the main burner.
basically when your programmer calls for heat via stats, live should be sent to boiler thermostat and providing its not satisfied, live will be sent on to gas valve to open up and allow gas to burner. it would involve tracing how far power is getting along the line.

make sure programmer is switching power
stats are callling
boiler stat is calling
power is getting to gas valve
