The Pull cord on my McCulloch 18" Chainsaw won't budge, any ideas?

I have a McCulloch 18" Chainsaw (model #CS 38EM), I was going along cutting just fine, stopped to refuel and to make sure there was enough chain oil, filling both up, tried to start and the pull cord tightened up and will not budge! Any ideas, I mean I can replace it for $159.00, so I don't want to spend a whole lot in repairs...

Thank you,

Mike

HI Mike.
Remove the spark plug and then take off the muffler and check the cylinder for damage. Sounds like the piston is siezed from lack of lubrication. If it is it's toast.
Good LUCK
