The spark igniters on all four burners continually work while the power is on, when the gas knobs are pressed down the spark frequency increases. What do you think the problem could be?. NEFF gas hob about 15 to 20 years old brown enamel with controles down the right hand side.
Centre ring will not spark. All other rings work perfectly. I have cleaned the electrodes and the area surrounding them but to no avail

My NEF gas hobs have stopped working when you turn on no gas I have replaced them with another one and they are ok any one know why ? they are only 3 years old.

hello
i have a relatively new gas hob (1.5-2years old) and the electric starter has all of a sudden seemingly stopped working on 2 of the 4 hobs. however once there is a flame (started with a match) the starters will generate an arc of electricity - go figure.
any thoughts...?

The cause on my Neff hob was water getting into the igniter button ie under the rubber cover which was split. Hob was 16 years old!

Its just as cheap to rip it out and start again.Hobs arent that much to buy,so why mess about with something that age.
