How can I remove the radio player from a Fiat Punto 1.28v, X-Reg, 2001?

There are four holes, 1 in each corner.

If it is the original fiat radio, there should be 4 small small holes in each corner. Push something small such as an alan key into these holes and once you have done the last, the radio should pop out an inch or so. From here you can fully remove it by pulling it out and detaching the cables. Be ware, when installing the new radio/cd player the old 'cage' might need to be removed and a new one supplied with the player will need to be inserted.

I hope it's yours....

Some audio dealers sell the U shaped wire releasers for radio/audio units. there are clips the other side of the holes on the unit that grip the frame so the system doesn't come out. These releasers push into the holes and depress the clips. Then put sideways pressure on them and pull forward at the same time so the unit pulls out. Slide the unit out releasing the wires as required. You can sometimes get away with home made ones using wire coat hanger, obviously check the wire is the right thickness. Remember some have alarm wired in situ so when it's pulled out off goes the car alarm. This can only be dis-armed if you know where that switch is.
