How do I restore my E-System Laptop to factory settings?

Can anyone tell me how I could restore my E-System laptop back to factory settings. It runs on Vista and doesn't seem to restore to basic settings as my previous Windows XP system. The reason for me doing this is I possibly recieved a virus from a bogus MSN messenger. After trying to accept a file from someone I thought I knew my computer keeps kicking me off e-mail. Also when trying to restore to a previous restore point prior to this incident, there are no recorded restore points which I know where there for sure. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

If F10 doesn't work on your laptop try tapping F4 as that worked for me on my old laptop and go to Restart Windows, then Full Destructive Recovery and follow instructions on screen.

Press F10 repeatedly as soon as you switch on - it will go into system recovery. They used Softhinks PC Angel for a lot of PCs. Just follow options.

switch on your laptop and press F10 untill you hear high pitched beep then select what you want to do and this will reset to factory settings

HI, im sure you press the F8 key on start up, takes you into the recovery process but i would ring E-systems up as i had the same problem. They help take you through the process and it is fairly easy.
