Just bought a Tevion DVD Creator from Aldi, primarily to transfer all my old VHS to disc (sad?). Installed everything as instructed and connected the relevant leads from the VCR to my PC. However, when I try to copy anything, as soon as I hit the Record button the preview window goes blank and the sound disappears. The message "Cannot locate file" then appears, with nothing being saved either to the hard disc or the rewritable DVD. This happens in both the Quick DVD and normal capture modes.

Also, when trying to import media files directly from my PC, I get the message "Cannot open audio file", even though they are most definitely video files !

All the Tevion Help Desk can suggest is that I check my video/audio device settings and re-install the drivers - all to no avail. Maybe I'm missing something really obvious here, but I don't think so.

Any ideas would be gratefully received

I had exactly the same problem. In the end just returned it to Aldi for full refund--no questions asked.
