replacing headphone jack?

how can i replace the headphone jack? i have opened it, but am unable to pull it out of it's case to get to the headphone jack. i am afraid to pull too hard for fear of breaking something. it seems as if though the faceplate where the jack goes should pull out of the case. is there a keeper i need to release in order to pull the entire assembly out, so that i can get at & replace the jack?
this would be in regards to the "creative" zen micro. i don't have the model number here in front of me, but i can get it if you need it.

Hi,

I was working on this this morning concerning the same problem. So far I have made it all the way in with minimal damage... but I did some minor damage I will have to go get fixed. Anyways to open the zen micro,

1) Take the battery out
2) Move the metal plate behing the player towards the back
3) Where you plug you USB and Headphones, with a small srewdriver you can pop the from mini rubber plate... You should see two small srews to be removed.
4) Only then can you push from the back (on metal plate on battery) and take the hardware out of the casing, try to keep it as staight as you can, do not take the hardware out on a angle.. this could be dangerous.....
