The round cover which opens and closes for you to use the toilet has broken and I have tried and failed to get through to Thetford to get advice on repair / replace with no luck. Originally the cover got stuck and when we tried to open it the 2nd time it broke.

Any ideas would be very grateful.

I also had the same as you and did the same as Rob. I took it in under warrenty. Now I wonder what happens when the valve breaks again. I was told from my RV dealer that they have had many returns from this same problem. I can't find find replacement parts either, somebody help us.

i have the same problem with my Thetford and this requires the complete shutter assembly to be replaced, but i have been informed that these toilets are covered by a three year warranty some my repair is been carried out by a Theftford repair agent

Sorry can't help on that one but go back in to thetford site follow instructions below to access the download list of their help repair pdf files.

After clicking customer service on the bottom of the list is 'Ask Thetford' you can send them your problem if you haven't used that access yet then continue to the download page.
I've included Australian site details as requests have come to me for C2 repairs from as far as that I've done up a file now on the C2. but now forum prevents adding my email address for contact but its on page 17 of the forum in the reply to THETFORD TOILET BENCH TYPE NOT FLUSHING question.
