1996 Honda Civic Windor Off Track?

I own a 1996 Honda Civic DX and can no longer close my driver side window all the way. I can open the window all the way to the bottom but when I try to close it the window shifts inward. I have to reset the window and crank again. [Yes I have manual windows still - no power] Should I try to do it myself or have a mechanic do it?

You need to take off the inner door panel, adjust the rubber track liner at the front of the window in the window track, then reset the window into that forward track. This problem will happen again. The only way to completely fix it is to get a new window regulator. this is the cranking and lifting part of the window assembly. Honda says they have fixed the problem and this part will fix it. The dealer will probably have to make this repair.
