How can I fix my Transonic MP3 player?

This week I purchased a 4GB MP3 Player.
I am having problems installing the software for it.
An error comes up. "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product use Add/Remove programs on the Control Panel."

It does not say what product you have to remove.

e.g. Another version of what program?

Please help.

I have owned a Transonic SRO 8121 MP3 player for approximately two years. The computer had no problem with charging it or putting new music on it etc, but then I think someone accidentally shut down the computer with the MP3 still plugged in. Ever since then it has attempted to install it, but always fails and suggests I talk to the manufacturer. HELP ME PLEASE!!!

I have a Transonic 4GB MP3 player and have just downloaded music to it using WMA format. When I go to play a song, the following message is displayed ""Format error", please advise on what I need to do to get music playing. The FM radio works really good.
