Screen 'Streams' on startup?

Hi there!
My e-Machine computer screen has lines 'streaming' across it almost unable to see screen because it moves so fast. It's worse at startup but comes and goes while I use the computer. These lines also stream from the icons on the desk top.

I've checked my monitor and other hardware and it says there are no problems, the only other thing I can think of is the graphics card, unless you know different of course?

It does sound like a graphics card issue. If your e machine has onboard graphics try switching over to that. You will need to enable onboard graphics in the bios. Then connect your monitor to the vga (graphics) port on your motherboard.

Also you could try a friend's card in your system if you do not have onboard graphics. But with e machines one usually does, so...

Then ther is the possibility that your monitor is jacked, but I am betting on the card.
