If filters are clean, unplug unit, remove filters, in the hole where the filter is situated push you finger into the small drainage holes if you feel something squidgy that's the problem fat and other food stuffs collect in there clean out and replace filters.

The eco lights flash which are not in the book and sadly no-one at Hotpoint could help me either - has this happened to anyone else? Perhaps after 4½ yrs it due for the dishwasher cemetry!

My salt lights is flashing (I know what that means) together with the fast and delicate cycle lights. Any idea why flashing?

Hi there, the FDW60 Eco and Fast lights means that theres a blockage, I had this problem yesterday and couldnt find any help anywhere, before i let HotPoint rob me of £98, i took off the waste pipe that lead into the drain to find out that the grease off some of the pans had congield (don know how to spell it sorry) in the pipe and blocked it off, after removing this stuff and the stuff out of the waste pipe itself it was happily running again(my waste pipe connected to the drain in the sink which was also clogged with grease). :0D hope this helps anyone who has this problem.

According to the book that means there is a possible filter blockage, so remove, rinse under running water and replace firmly.

Now I just need to find out what the Eco and Fast lights flashing means, as there sadly aren't in the book...
