I brought a 512MB USB Sony MP3 player from a website. It worked well for 3 weeks and showed 497MB capacity when inserted in USB drive. Now when I insert it in the USB drive, it shows only 245MB. What may be the reason for this?Please help me out to overcome this problem.

This happened to my 1gb stick, the way I got around it was to remove any important files from it then do a complete reformat (not the quick format, a full reformat). The initial memory count of 497mb is correct as a certain amount of the momory is used by the stick for software and drivers.Hope this helps.
