Why is my picture only 1 third of the screen size?

The picture on my Goodmans Matrix Model GTV69W3VPL has suddenly reduced in size to the middle third of the screen. I have tried to change it back to widescreen (or any other format) with the remote control but cannot. The picture quality is still very good. The TV is about 2 years old and otherwise is functioning ok. Thanks.

you have what would be called a vertical deflection problem
bad capacitors are common with this problem. if you leave it
on to long with this problem you could blow the vertical chip which would result in a more expensive repair.
hopes this helps you. find a good repair shop in your area.
thanks Hardy.
