how do i fix my Beko WM5140s?

I have a WM5140s which is about 18 months old. When i turn it on, the start/pause/cancel button, the spin/end button and the ready button all light up. Once the door locks the ready button goes out and the others stay on and nothing else happens. I have tried holding the start button to reset but i can't even get it to flash. I have put a new module in, and changed the door lock mechanism but the problem remains. Does anyone know of anything else it could be?

hi ck.

i did what you said above. i think it failed on the first test. the 2nd light went on, it made a clicking sound and then would not move to the next lights. Does this mean my motor clock is broken? How do I fix it? do I have to replace the whole motor?

yes ck, that was the first thing i went for. Even with the new pcb there was no change at all. Then i changed the door mechanism. I have tried every way i can to reset the machine, but nothing changes! As soon as the door locks, the start/cancel button and end/spin button stay lit solid. I can't get the start light to flash at all. I had someone look at it before i changed the pcb, but he didn't check much as he thought it was definately pcb.

this would appear to be a main control pcb fault but you say you have changed it???

Thanks ck, but i have tried holding the start button in before turning power on and with power on but the start light always stays constant. It won't go to flashing mode at all. Do you know anything else i could try?

turn off with the on/off switch on fascia.put the program selector knob 1 position clockwise .now press and hold the start button in whilst switching on with the on/off switch on the fascia panel.wait for led to start flashing and then let go off all the buttons.led should still be flashing.now press the start button once and let go.all lights should flash.press once and let go again etc etc.this should test each function.motor clock, motor anti, spin.fill main/pre/conditioner,fill to level and heat, drain.mght be different order but you get the drift!
