what is wrong with my Beko WM5140?

I have a WM5140s which is about 18 months old. When i turn it on, the start/pause/cancel button, the spin/end button and the ready button all light up. Once the door locks the ready button goes out and the others stay on and nothing else happens. I have tried all methods to reset it, including ones i got from this forum, but the start button will not flash, and nothing changes. I first tried putting a new module in, then changed the door lock mechanism but the problem remains. Does anyone know of anything else it could be?

Aha, at last i am able to get the start button to flash again. I checked the pump as ck said. The machine had water in it from when it stopped working and after i emptied it, i was able to get a wash to start again but only for a few seconds. It then stopped again! Each time i turned it off at main power switch and on again, the water started to fill again for 3 seconds or so then stopped. I can't seem to reset it as not all the lights flash. The only one which flashes is the start/pause light, but that does that when you pause a programme anyway? HELP again please.
PS, i haven't tried the brushes as i wouldn't know where to start.

have you checked the brushes in the motor they might not be making contact with the armature on the motor
