I cant restore my computer back to an earlier date no matter what i do I've tried in normal desktopmode and in afe mode, also internet explorer wont work and a couple of my icons are just white boxes now, it has just locked me out of certain programs even my anti virus software please help!!!!!!!!

I had the same problem a while back. It seems you have a virus thats stopping you from removing it from the system. I had to reset my computer back to day one.
