Leyland DAF 45 Roadrunner - 1990. Where is the thermostat ??

Looking to locate the engine thermostat for the engine coolling system to check if it working properly. Think will need to tilt cab to access it but not sure of where in engine it sits, would be ideal if could be reached without tilting the cab so any tips welcome ;o)

On idle temp is fine and on normal driving with horsres on board when taking it easy, when emptyand able to speed up and acelarate bit harder temp rises and water seems to boil from overflow on expantion tank, presume this is where it is coming from as restricted acces without tilting cab, from past exp ime thining this could be the thermostat.

you will need to tilt cab-its situated on engine side of top hose [dont use it without stat or water wont circulate correctly as it's a by-pass thermostat].by the way what is the fault?
