When I put my wife's Pay as You Go SIM into my Pay Monthly Contract phone it asks for a SIM UNLOCK number. Is there a way round this or is it a software problem.
Which network you are using currently ? Use unlock code to unlock your Samsung D500 . You can get it from any of the 3rd party service providers like Mobileunlocksolutions.com to unlock it .

Update on above. Turns out the SIM UNLOCK number for this model is 00000000 (that's 8 zeros) and it worked. Job done.
