Fuel problem with jcb 3cx ? ?

Machine starts fine (first time) and will tick over and drive but when run at high revs or stressed, ie. driving up incline or loading it cuts out & wont start again straight away. Then have to leave ignition on for 20 secs and it'll start again but will then miss & cut out again constantly. I've cleaned sed bowl, fitted new fuel filter, new lift pump.
Any ideas? thanks

Hi I had a problem like this on a old jcb some years ago the fuel filter was a metal one I changed it for a glass one the jcb would run on low revs fine but soon as you asked it to do some work it would cut out and would not start the problen was when you reved it up you could see through the glass filter air bubbles being drawn in to the fuel system from the rubber gasket on top of the filter bowl so I suggest your jcb is drawing air in through the fuel system some where thank you.

hi i had this problem on my machine and it turned out to be fuel contamination in the tank ended up having to clean out tank all the fuel lines and fit new filters again most of the blockage tends to build up in the bottom feed hose from the tank to the lift pump goes away when the engine stalls again as there is no draw on the fuel system and then blocks up again as for air in the system check to make the sediment bowl is staying full of fuel and there is not a air pocket . hope this helps
