Hi could you tell me if a gear box from a 1997 will fit my 1994 ford maverick. do you have to take engine out or can it be done with engine in many thanks

if you look on gearbox should have a plate with gearbox type/model numbers on it, if the same numbers should be o.k. you might be able to swop without taking engine out depends on how much room you have, as the higher you can get it the easier the job will be.
but i would be inclined to ask a gearbox engineer if gearboxes are the same
