No obvious obstruction between drum & drain pump.
Where else shoul I look?

When you say no obvious obstruction have you removed the bottom tub hose as they get blocked up in there especially if it has a detergent recovery ball fitted.I assume you have removed the filter and blown down the waste hose back in to the filter housing to see if water comes out drain hose end?
