Starting the engine on a 2002 - MTD Yardman Garden Tractor?

MTD Yardman Garden Tractor - The engine will not turn over. Battery is fully charged. There is power to one side of the solenoid. When you try and start the engine there is a high speed clicking sound from the solenoid but no power to the other side to feed the starter motor from the solenoid. I have replaced the solenoid and this fault is still there. Any ideas !!!!!

Bad engine or battery ground, or low battery voltage. Short the 2 heavy solenoid contacts with a screwdriver or similar. If the engine cranks, there is a problem with the solenoid or the trigger circuit. If it doesn't, the problem is with the starter or the connections to it or the engine.

check your ground wires and see if this helps
