I have a Dyson DC04. It is not picking up everything from the carpet like it used to. It is six years old. I have checked to see if the brushes are all clogged up and they seem fine. I do not know how to clean the filter as I have lost the instruction book. Can anyone help.

first off all,the suction will drop if you dont replace the filters,despite the adds,and you should replace the brush roll at least once a year if you use the vac a lot,the bristles get soft,though they look long they cant pick up too well,plus change the belt too
