Kawasaki overheating?

Hi I have the above bike and have had a problem with the Carburettor. It sat for about 10 years and I had to clean it out as there was a lot of gunk in it. Some of the jets I could not get out, but blasted them with Carb cleaner. One of the needles was beyond cleaning and could not get a new one so have had one made (10 in fact). However, one of the exhaust pipes is getting very very hot ‘Red that is’. The other is normal temperature. I have not put it on the road as I’m sure I will damage something with this.
Any Ideas why it is doing this?

Dunno what model you're on about best bet here m8 is to get another carb, try www.usedkawasakiparts.com and tell them what model you have.Failing that have them ultra-sonic cleaned or vapour blasted but you do need to strip them right down yourself first. Then you can check the rest of the engine like ignition timing & valve clearances, its been standing a while, what are the bores like? etc etc
