How do i fix a flooded gilera sp runner 50cc?

my girlfriend has a gilera runner sp. the other night it fell over and flooded the engine. what is the best way to fix this.

but steve imagine the crankcase is full of petrol as it would be if the bike was flooded as he explains, would you not be better of emptying the crankcase as i explained or running back and forwards to you cooker 3000 times until you have turned the bike over enough to empty the flooded crankcase?????? and also saving on your £160 gas bill,i have been there a thousand times and know what to do. If the spark plug itself is wet(only) and not the crankcase flooded then you idea would be ok ,although a new plug is going to be a better option

You can dry the wet plug on a gas hob for a few seconds also, does the trick.

the best way is to take the spark plug and spin the engine over for about 30 seconds with the throttle fully OPEN ,this will give the crankcase lots of air without the vaccum in the carb to draw the fuel in and therefore blast the crancase clean of any excess fuel,i would also recommend a new spark plug to be fitted at the same time
