Hi, thanks for the quick reply - appreciated, for now I`ve disconnected the panel speaker, unfortunately I`m not electrically minded at all, so I`ve never done this before.I never use the alarm so really just wantto disconnect it. Now it is not audible will the battery eventually just die without outside siren activating? not an ideal solution but if it works for meantime?
thanks,
Rose

Replacing your battery might help, ever done that?

If outside does not sound with mains supply and battery removed, that is faulty as well, it's what alarms are designed to do.
