Previously reliable dryer tumbles but produces no heat. Miele tried charging me £87 just to look at it. (Probably costs more than the replacement part)
I can fit replacement parts myself but which one? I have a good set of tools including a current tester. Can anybody suggest where I should start?
Looking at other Questions the problem seems to vary depending on the manufacturer.

in addition to my last coment this model may have a electrical contactor (relay) at the back where the power supply connects or this my just be there bigger model

If element is ok check the thermostats on the same heater bank and check them for low resistance replace if high.
also check all vents for good air flow as this can cause damage to heater bank

start at the heater element, in through the backplate inside the drum, 5mm allen key scews around drum perimeter & 2 at the centre around the rear plate bearing (on some these are #27 torx)
