Oil in the water
Mick, March 2012
mixture of oil cooler with water

john gharish, November 2013
i would say ur oil cooler aswell .. wer had a few lf45,s oil coolers packing up .. flush cooling system out and change header tank and it still went black with oil !! tho the fault was cured !!

Is the Oil / Water Mixture in your header tank black or on the grayish/white side? Normally black will mean your engine oil cooler and the lighter color will be your gearbox oil cooler. Along with replacement of the faulty cooler and O'Rings, remember to replace your header tank cap after thorough flushing of the cooling system. When the oil soaks into your rubber hoses it causes them to swell, check the obvious on your piping as well.
