How can I fix my Sony car radio that has blown?

We tried plugging in an Ipod through one of those tape converters. The volume on the Ipod and the radio were up high and it blew. I looked at the three amp fuse (which was blown), changed it and plugged the stereo back in. It is still completely dead. The radio is a Sony face-off from about 97.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks.

chances are its shorted out on to the case of the stereo -
probably blown an internal capacitor or resistor - only place will be a auto electric company who specially deals in this sorta thing - wont be expensive to fix as its happened to me b4 but a nightmare trying to find someone who does it
