GBC 4250 laminator does not turn on?

Have troubleshot. Had laminate roll around exit rolls; didn't know about reverse button (no manual); turned off machine; carefully cut away all laminate and pulled out from between exit rollers. Reloaded, tray is on; pin of tray is in correct spot (nothing wrong with spring); top cover is all the way down; outlet works; when turn on power, light does not light up and it doesn't run when switch to run. Have been sole operator for 2 years; This is the first time the laminate wrapped around exit rollers for me; had tough time getting the wrapped laminate off, but was careful, gentle and persistent. What could be the cause of the machine now not working?

I fix these machines for a living as a indenpendent roll laminator repair station around pittsburgh pa...

as you have mentioned the top clear plastic shield MUST BE DOWN, the pin on the feed tray MUST be tripping the interlock switch! The fuse holder near the reverse switch MUST have a good fuse and the fuse holder itself often go bad and cause no power problem.

theres a thermal fuse and temp sensor under the center of the bottom red roller. what can happen is the tiny temperature sensor board fails and the machine overheats, taking out the thermal fuse. feel free to call me if you have questions.

theres also a 1 amp or so fuse under the main board, if it blows it can cause no power
