front wipers 1993 vw polo?

front wipers stopped working so changed fuse this lasted 3 days but blew again.
I replaced it again today it lasted 30minutes this time so I replaced it again and now just keeps blowing as soon as ignition is switched on

IF blowing immediately, As other person said, suggested wipers were switched on. IF ON, would think motor gone, or water ingress into motor, or local wiring on motor. IF NOT ON, You have more of a problem. Not on and blowing fuse would indicate wiring problem. You need to get it sorted. Might not be just wiring to wipers. Several things tend to go via one plug/socket. so, bad wiring like that, is what causes vehicle fires. Get it seen to. by yourself or garage, but sooner the better.

I have no specialist knowledge or experience of vehicle electrics but...

The fuse is trying to tell you something...

When it blows it's saying that too much current is being drawn. Either you have a chafed wire shorting to earth (possible but very doubtful) or you have a problem of some sort with the motor.

Best case I would suspect the motor being lose and wobbly on its mountings and the wiper linkage jamming up - the motor stalling and a resulting high current causing the fuse to melt.

Alternatively the motor itself may have burnt out resulting in a short-circuit fault - that would cause the fuse to blow immediately if the wipers were selected to run.

Good luck...
