lights will not dim or turn off been told it could be the switch or it could be the circuit board what do you advise? WE HAVE TO UNPLUG THE FIRE before we go out or go to bed as we feel it is dangerous everything else works fine bit of a poor advert for Dimplex

The dimmer only works with incandescent lamps,if they are did one blow recently? most modern incandescent lamps occasionally short out when the filament blows thats why circuit breakers trip,but it also damages the pcb they cost about £50+VAT
