Creda washer 17064E motor removal? for brush replacement?

Our Creda washer (1000 Economy Plus) is going through cycles without spinning. There are blue sparks flying off the brushes when the machine is running. Brushes were recently replaced by the previous owner, but perhaps they aren't installed properly or did they just wear out quick? Question: How do we access the brushes for removal? We're in California where Creda repair-people are non-existent. If it's true that the stock brushes wear out too fast, is there a substitute we can order to replace these? Please help!

Creda CWA 242 (1706E) Eco 1000 series

No need to remove motor to replace brushes.

Brushes should be Part number 1600474 (GE hotpoint), install according with service bulletin.
1. remove brushes - "retaining latch on brush"
2. clean communicator -all carbon needs to be removed
3. Release brushes
4. install brushes
5. break in - 2 complete fast cycles.

There is only one place I am aware of to get Creda parts in North America
