drivers window fault?

hi i have a 2011 mk 4 ford focus , the drivers electric window has stopped working , when i press the swith i feel and hear a click but the window does nothing, the car is only four years old , what maybe the problem as i am now out of warrinty.

ok all of a sudden it started to work again , all i heard for 2 days was a clicking noise from the switch , now there seems to be no problem with it , as though it never stopped working.

I fixed my neighbours car with that fault,it was a dirty commutator in the motor,I recall stripping the motor in situ cleaning the commy with sand paper (it was very burnt) and putting it back together,it worked a treat.If you have ever changed brushes or did work on an electric motor you will know the score it is not difficult but you will need two pairs of hands (someone to hold the brushes back when you put the innards back in) and a little bit of ingenuity.Good luck.
