i have a peugeot 207, 2008 model which oil is correct?

have a Peugeot 207 model 2008 reg, was told to use Petron ow30 7000e just read should use 10w 40 which is correct. thank you.

Which engine?

You should be ok using 10W40 in all except the EP VTi engines. They take 5W30 or 0W30 according to Haynes.

However my daughter's 1.4 VTi 2008 is a thirsty beast as far as oil is concerned. So we've being using Total Quartz 9000 5W-40 Motor Oil for several years now with no ill effects.
