Danfoss RX1?

I have a Danfoss RX1 attached to my Samsung air-water underfloor heating system. It has two buttons: Prog and CH1.
The Prog button does nothing and the CH1 button when pressed (turns red) triggers the water pump. It is either on or off, so the water pump either runs constantly doesn't run at all. What is the purpose of the Danfoss RX1? Surely not a manual on / off switch for a pump?

As far as I can see, its the receiver for a wireless thermostat. I would hazard a guess the CH1 button is some kind of manual override and the PROG button is just used during installation/commissioning, to pair the RX-1 and the corresponding thermostat transmitter. You may be able to confirm all that from the datasheet, catalogue sheet and the manual for the Danfoss RX-1.
