How to change complete light not just bulb
On2005 megane

Steve, May 2013
I removed the front wheel, took off the inspection panel on the plastic wheel arch, then removed the two lower screw bolts on the remaining wheel arch liner, allowing it to be peeled back and wedged back behind the wheel disc brake assembly. This allows hand and arm access to the back of the headlamp. My bulb blew because the back of the headlight ( the round black disc ) was missing, as was the inspection panel, and I drove through a massive flood, causing water to penetrate the headlamp. Lesson learnt!

the easiest way to fix the problem is dont just put the fog lights on instead, so much easier problem solved

I have a Renault Megane CC 57 plate - Halfords in Hereford did mine - cost £5.00 per side (fitting) plus cost of bulbs - great service. Tool about 30 mins.

Take off the plastic black bit covering the light under the bonnet, remove the cover in the wheel arch, unscrew the cover at the back of the light and pull off the electric connector. There is a metal clip at the top of the bulb push forward towards the headlight and to the side this unhooks the clip which will then drop down, remove and fit new bulb as instructed on the box. Get somebody to hold a small mirror and take a look at the clip before you start, this will help you work it out.

pop the bonnet up, pull the rubber back from the back of the light, it should twist out (about 1/2 a turn) then pull out then replace the bulb but dont touch the glass on the new one with your hands then do these instructions in reverse to put in.
