Triton shower now runs much hotter than before?

Hi all,

My triton shower now runs much hotter than before I have had to change it to the one red bar and turn it right up to 8. If I have it on two red bars I have to turn it right down past 1 but its still too hot.

Any ideas

It's probably just limescale build up - I have the same problem that can be allievated with a clean.
That said, It's now so far gone that I'm going to replace it.

Had the same problem on my Triton Opal, used to be the shower head had lots of limescale build up, this would cause the flow to reduce. Descale the head or try a replacement....cheap to try

You should check your water pressure, if it’s an electric shower and your water pressure is down it will heat much more and come out slower.

If it’s a thermostatic shower the cartridge inside is more that lightly broken, you can buy replacements.

Check the water temperature at other points in the house; it may not be your shower. Hope this helps www.bellabathrooms.co.uk

no shower has a pump on it that feeds from the mains. its illegal to pump mains water

Hello I had something similar. Its to do with the water pressure. When the water presure is low the heater is heating up the water passing through the system a lot quicker than if there was high pressure water going through because there is not as much to warm up. has the shower got a pump on it that is fed from the mains?
