timing belt alignment marks for vauxhall astra 1.6 8 valve 2003?

i need to check the timing belt alignment marks on my vauxhall astra 1.6 8 valve year 2003. have replaced hydraulic lifters and cam followers but no compression any ideas

how come when you have not altered the position it still will not fire

head gasket blown replaced it marked the cam put it back together but still wont fire yet it still started with gasket blown

did you take off cylinder head ? if so you need to change head gasket, the timing mark for the camshaft is on timing cover behind the cam sprocket, when you take off the first cover look directly above sprocket there will be a triangle shaped groove, and the timing mark on the sprocket is punched into it, it is a triangle shaped mark. align the two marks together then align
the crankshaft sprocket timing mark (again it is a triangle mark) with the mark on oil pan. you may have damaged your valves by turning the engine over when it is out of alignment as i did that once and knackered valves
