How can I fix my JVC XV-S302 dvd player?

My JVC XV-S302 dvd player has been working fine for two years and I have also made it multiregion. The last couple of days it has been stuck in stand by mode. I have tried unplugging it and leaving for 48 hours and checking all the leads but to no joy. Can anyone help.

We have had exactly the same problem (although our player isn't mulltiregion-hacked). Unplugging doesn't solve the problem, and there doesn't seem to be anyway to get it off standby mode. Anyone got any answers?
