Mine did this 10 days out of warranty and no one wants to know about the problem. The retailer did not want to know. I tried Bush and they said another company is responsible for maintenance. I contacted them and they are only interested in warranty work.
I tried a local repair workshop and they were unable to even get hold of a service manual or circuit.
Result is it sits in my loft hoping that it might be repairable one day.

Had a look at my user guide and did a search. There are some good bits of info on the forums re firmware but any firmware upgrades require that the dvd section of the machine is operating so that the info can be transferred from a cd. I would try disconnecting the power supply for five minutes. This often works with electronics.
