Can a broken coaxial cable connection be repaired on TV?

The coaxial cable connection has broken off my Sylvania TV/VCR combo? Can it be repaired? Is it hazardous to operate in this condition?

I would still recommaned you be very carefull, even if the TV is unplugged, the large capciters in the TV can still hold a large charge even after power off. Don't touch any part that may be connected to the Transformer (the part the powers the CRT tube)

Yes, easily. It is a quick soldering job, even if a new coaxial socket has to be fitted. Do not power up the TV with back removed, there are lethal voltages - up to 4KV on the back of the picture tube!
