My gas cooker has a yellow flame?

Is a yellow flame on my gas cooker normal? The oven trays and dishes come out of the oven with a black soot on them.

Cleaning is neccessary all the time but it needs air flow adjustment. It may be disturberd while cleaning it. So turn gas cooker back n u will see 2 liver , which moves left n right so these are air flow adjustment .to adjust yellow flame, ignite gas and move the livers one by one and u will see the effect urself

The yellow flame means that Carbon Monoxide is being produced, this is dangerous to your health. Dont use the oven until the fault has been rectified!

It should be a blue flame,as the gas burns it draws in air through a small hole as it needs oxygen to burn properly. The soot means it isn't burning right and also making the problem worse all the time.Answer is A.get a gas fitter to look at it B.get the cooker cleaned professionally.C.give all the parts you can remove a good clean and dry removing all the carbon muck you can,and make sure any little holes in the parts are unblocked, then try it.CLEAN,CLEAN,CLEAN first.
