ford fiesta 1998 R reg diesel 1.8?

Yesterday Heater blower only works when switched to 4 (the fan speed). Usually blows 1, 2, 3 & 4 but now only get air blowing when switched to 4.

What's causing this plse? How do I fix it? Is it an expensive job?

Hi this caused by a faulty resister pack which controls the fan speed.
Very common on most modern cars for this fault to happen.
Part from ford is about £40.
