Mazda 323 lxi 1997 model keeps stalling?

Hi my car - Mazda 323 lxi 1997 model keeps stalling as I slow down and/or come to a stop at a junction or as I put the clutch down and brake.

Very occasionally, I can avoid it: As I put the clutch right to the floor in order to bring the car out of gear or change down a gear as I slow, I can see the dashboard lights come on, indicating a stall. I can bring the clutch back up quickly which brings it out of the stall, however, recently it has just keeps stalls anyway. What could be the solution?

Hi Alfred

I don't know the answer to this one but I can tell you that you are not alone as my 1997 323 LXi does exactly the same thing even after I had it serviced. My central locking has also gone now, first the rear doors then the passenger front door and now the driver's side door.

I hope there is someone with a bit if technical knowledge out there who can come up with a fix for this.
