shockabsorbers?

there is a knocking noise coming from the underneath of my car is it safe to drive if the shockabsorbers are wearing out

IF THE SHOCKS ARE WEARING OUT ,THE SEALS WILL BE LEAKING OIL WHICH IN TURN LOOSES THE DAMPENING EFFECT, IF YOU ARE IN A TURN AND HIT A BUMP OR HOLLOW YOUR CAR WILL START TO WOLLOW ,LIKE A WATER BED , BEST TO GET THEM CHECKED OR CHANGED. ALSO THE KNOCKING NOISE COULD BE SOMETHING ELSE, SO GET CHECKED
